We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for our August 21-23, 2025 Annual Meeting at the Grand Traverse Resort! This year’s theme is MMRMA: Let’s Connect. We look forward to networking and connecting with attendees from across the membership.

Program Highlights

Here is a sneak peek at the 2025 agenda:

• Dr. Miriam Kirmayer — Create Connections You Can Count On
  Thursday’s opening speaker is clinical psychologist Dr. Miriam Kirmayer, who will share her expertise and insights on how to fortify your friendships, nurture your network, and connect to a meaningful life. According to her, feeling connected — to our friends, our colleagues, and our communities — is one of the most powerful predictors of our health, happiness, and success. Even though we are hard-wired for connection, so much can get in the way of strong, healthy relationships: distance, technology, the busy-ness of life, and our misconceptions about what it takes to build authentic connections. She will return on Friday morning for a training session on elevating support and mentorship.
• Jeff Kortes — C.R.A.P. (Caring, Respect, Appreciation and Praise) Leadership® System
  Employee recruitment and retention expert Jeff Kortes will share his system for instilling positive supervisory and managerial behavior while driving results in your organization.
• Robin Shear — From Fragmented to Joyfully Connected
  “Joy coach” Robin Shear understands that connection can be a rich source of joy even when we are down and out. She will inspire with true stories of times that real connection was shared despite the odds, differences, and lack of resources. Participants will be inspired to connect with others on a deeper, more meaningful level, learn to ask courageous questions that help people open up, and master compassionate listening skills.
• Dr. Shawne Duperon — Emotional Intelligence & Crisis Communication
  Attendees are encouraged to attend the Annual Business Meeting of the Board of Directors on Saturday morning. The special guest speaker will be Dr. Shawne, CEO of ShawneTV.com, who has a PhD in communication and presents on media mastery and other ways to elevate our skills and communicate more effectively. She will share her insights about emotional intelligence and crisis communication.

Important Notes

• All participants must formally register in order to attend the Annual Meeting.
• Please confirm with your entity’s Member Representative that you are eligible to attend the Annual Meeting prior to registering.
• Lodging at the resort is available on a first-come, first-served basis and fills up quickly, so please register at your earliest convenience. We will try to find accommodations for those who register after the resort room block sells out but cannot ensure availability.
• Reservations will not be accepted after July 20, 2025. Because reservations are guaranteed, we must charge for late cancellations & no-shows.
