Welcoming Bryan J. Anderson as New MMRMA Executive Director

We are proud to announce that Bryan Anderson is now Executive Director of Michigan Municipal Risk Management Authority.

Bryan takes the helm as MMRMA’s third Executive Director following Michael Rhyner’s nearly 25-year tenure in the role. Bryan joined MMRMA in 2008 as Finance Manager and subsequently held the positions of Finance Director, Managing Director, and Deputy Executive Director.

Bryan thrived under Mike Rhyner’s mentorship and developed strong working relationships across the membership, including the Board of Directors and standing committee members, as well as with MMRMA’s business partners and staff across all departments.

“It is an honor and privilege to serve as the new Executive Director of MMRMA,” Bryan says. “I look forward to positively guiding and supporting MMRMA and everyone who is a part of it. Together we will build on Mike Rhyner’s leadership and legacy and continue to carry out MMRMA’s tradition of excellence.”

Bryan is a licensed certified public accountant and chartered global management accountant.  Prior to joining MMRMA, Bryan was a manager in the internal audit division of Chrysler, LLC, doing accounting compliance for their legal department and self-insured liabilities, and a senior manager for the accounting firm of Andrews, Hooper and Pavlik, with progressive responsibility in public accounting involving the insurance, government, and public entity pooling industries.
